YEAR 5     LEARNING BRITISH CULTURE

The week before the Easter Holidays year five played a game in groups to learn about our british culture.

These are some questions they where asked:

What is the pound? Who is Nessie? What countries take part of the United Kingdom? What is the most popular drink/food? What is haggis?

La última semana de clase en quinto curso realizaron un juego de preguntas y respuestas sobre la cultura británica. Algunas de las respuestas fueron bastante curiosas.

YEAR 3     SNAKES AND LADDERS (LA OCA)

We played snakes and ladders just before our Easter Holiday to review all the Units. There were four colours : red, pink, purle and orange. Each colour  had questions about grammar, vocabulary, songs and games. The price was an easter chocolate egg! yummy, yummy!

Jugamos a la oca la última semana de clase antes de las vacaciones de Semana Santa para repasar todas las unidades. En grupos contestaron a preguntas de gramática, vocabulario, tuvieron que cantar canciones, etc. ¡Como premio se les dió huevos de pascua de chocolate!

YEAR 5    DIRECTIONS

Last week we set up a game in groups of four to learn how to go to places. These are the lovely drawings that the children of year five made to play the game. 

They had to go from one part of the room to another. This was the stucture:

 "Excuse, can you tell me where the museum is please? Yes,of course. Go straight on, turn left..."

La semana pasada fuimos a la sala de los espejos para desplegar nuestros maravillosos dibujos de todos los lugares aprendidos en clase, y en grupos de cuatro o cinco fueron de una parte de la habitación a otra. 


El esquema que siguieron fue el siguiente:  "Disculpe, ¿puede decirme dónde está el museo por favor? Sí, por supuesto. Siga recto y gire a la izquierda ..."

YEAR 5    INTERACTIVE BOOK

This interactive book is about places in town, to practice countable and uncountable nouns, such as: there is/ there isn´t, there are/ there aren´t.

YEAR 5      DIRECTIONS GAME

This is a real game, where you have to listen carefully to the instructions to get to some places. After you listen you have to click on the place TWO TIMES, this is important otherwise you´ll not be able to check your answer.

Do you have any difficulties to understand what the person is saying?

En este juego real hay que escuchar con atención las instrucciones para llegar a diferentes lugares. Prestar mucha atención al audio. Una vez localizado el lugar, es importante hacer clic en ese sitio dos veces, de lo contrario no podréis comprobar vuestra respuesta.

¿Os cuesta trabajo entender a la persona que está hablando?

YEAR 5   HAD A GREAT TIME!

Look at this wonderful artwork that year five made! They´ve got a lot of imagination. They were told that the camels of the three wise men would appreciate a bite of this lovely bread!

¡Qué imaginación tienen estos niños/as!
¡Parecen obras de arte!
Espero que a los camellos les haya gustado este exquisito bocado, aunque tienen muy buena pinta, se les recomendó a los niños/as que no lo comieran, para evitar que los camellos pasaran hambre, tenían que estar fuertes para transportar todos los regalos de los reyes.

This dough doesn´t contain gluten, as some of the royal pages are celiac.

Esta masa de pan no contiene gluten, ya que algunos de los pajes reales son celiacos.
